The Rendezvous blog on the NYT published this article (almost 6 years ago!) regarding the feeling of life "back home" passing you by, but also knowing it's not really the same home anymore for you.

I'd love your thoughts. In my industry, we call the tour you come home to find the trappings of "adulting" a "Life Tour." I freely admit I returned as a professional after 5 years to find those things. I've been lucky enough that it worked for me - I was able to buy a place (financed by all I saved as an expat), find a partner, and really focus on interests like Nextpat! But, I have friends who haven't had the same level of success.
I wonder:
--What factors did you consider in coming back?
--How did you know it was time?
--Were you successful?
--If you reflect back, was coming to your passport country part of the success? Why?
